Solar Panel Installation
NSI Energy installed 134 solar panels, covering over 262m² of the warehouse roof. The project was completed in just two weeks, running safely, on schedule, and without disruption to day-to-day operations. With a lifespan exceeding 25 years, the system will deliver long-term, sustainable energy generation for decades ahead.
Solar Panel Benefits
The installation of solar panels marks a major step forward in J&M Storage Systems’ commitment to reducing operational costs, lowering our carbon footprint, and future-proofing the business against rising energy prices.
The 134 solar panels are expected to generate around 56,510 kWh of clean energy each year – meeting approximately 59% of our total electricity demand. This translates into an estimated £19,000 in annual energy savings, with a payback period of just over four years.
From an environmental perspective, the system will reduce our carbon emissions by over 12 tonnes of CO₂ annually – the equivalent of powering 458 UK homes for a year or eliminating 2.2 million miles of car travel.
